On Thursday, Parliament of Macedonia unanimously adopted the Declaration supporting Macedonia’s bid for NATO membership.
The Declaration was adopted with 76 votes in favour, with no votes against or abstentions.
The representatives of the two largest parties, VRMO-DPMNE and SDSM, both supported the Declaration.
NATO leaders formally invited Macedonia last week to start membership talks, on the condition that membership won’t be completed until the name deal is fully implemented.
